MIAC Title IX Trailblazers - Bethel

Deb Hunter 
Deb Hunter spent 10 seasons at the helm of the Bethel University women’s basketball team holding a 164-89 (.648) all-time record durn the NCAA era. Since women’s basketball became an NCAA-sponsored sport in 1986, Hunter’s squads posted 20 or more wins in three seasons and 15 or more wins in seven of the 10 years. Hunter was a role model for young female athletes both on and off the court, from coaching the game she loved on the sidelines to being a mentor within the Royals athletic department. She has designated her energy to furthering the advancement of  female athletes.

Gretchen Hunt
Gretchen Hunt has spent the last 22 years leading Bethel University women’s volleyball program and has led multiple of her teams to NCAA Championship berths. In addition to coaching at Bethel, she has worked as a head coach and part-time clinician influencing girls for the Heartland Volleyball Club, Adidas Select Volleyball Club, Crossfire Volleyball Club, Minnetonka Juniors, and Minnesota Select Volleyball Club. Hunt has also put her time into helping numerous local clinics that help provide young female athletes with opportunities to play volleyball. Hunt is also Bethel’s senior woman administrator in the athletic department and provides opportunities to females participating in athletics.
